Family Focus

At the Stevensville Seventh-day Adventist Church, we beleive that the church is the children. It is a fact that they are the church of tommorow, however we beleive that they are the church NOW! This begins in the home. We endeavor to promote Christ, not just at the church during services, but in the home and school. Seven days a week. Fostering the love of Christ, begins with families demonstrating this with each other in the home. This then extends to the church family.

Sabbath School

Each Sabbath morning, Sabbath schools for each age group welcome children to an hour of active learning geared to their stage of faith, moral development. These classes provide faith-shaping experiences for newborns through adolescents.

Children's Sabbath Schools

Beginners: birth–2 years old

Kindergarten: 3–6 years old

Primary: 7–9 years old (grades 1–4)

Juniors: 10–11 years old (grade 5–6)

Earliteen: 12–13 years old (grades 7–8)

Youth: grades 9–12

The Worship Hour

The children are an integral part of the worship hour. Every Sabbath, there is a Children's Story. But they are not just told a story at this time, but also several are asked to offer a musical feature while the others gather for the story. The Scripture reading is also their responsibility. Additionally, during the sermon, Pastor Stan includes a special nugget for them, they come up to help him demonstrate an illustration, hold alphabet cards, or he will ask one one or two a question during his discourse. On special occasions they even bless us with a service of their own, like on Mother's Day, or the Pathfinder and Adventure induction. Indeed, at Stevensville, the children, are not in the Worship services to receive a blessing, but to be a blessing as well.

Coming Up in the Fall of 2009 there will be an Evangelistic Series Focused on Youth

In the Fall of 2009, we are planning to conduct an Evangelistic series that primarily focuses on the youth. Here the 20 somethings, youth, and children will be able to get involved and engage in this fantastic ministry. They will lead out and even give some of the presentations. Plan on attending, and encouraging others to do so.
